Introducing the epic Derwent Descent Package

 

Tasmanian Luxury Lodge experience, the Derwent Descent, is an uniqu adventure near Hobart, Tasmania.

 

The Derwent Descent is a guided kayak trip which transfers guests from one luxury hotel to the next.

 

This is a private and exclusive experience, open only to our guests.

 

This epic adventure has guests staying up-river at Truffle Lodge for the first two nights of a 4 night package. On Day 3, after breakfast, guests kayak down river to  The Woodbridge Tasmania for the second part of their stay. On the trip down river, the adventurers may see platypus and sea eagles. They will cross several low-medium grade rapids. Our guides are highly experienced and all equipment is provided.

 

While the guests are transiting on the river, our staff will transfer their luggage to The Woodbridge.

 

Guests will arrive at the river pontoon at Woodbridge to refreshments by the river. They will also have the option of a hot sauna and jacuzzi before going to their room.

 

We anticipate that some guests might be concerned about a full day on the river. Therefore we identified several pick-up  points along the route to cover that eventuality. However, as the trip is all down stream with the current, we think everyone will make it to Woodbridge ok.

 

This package includes:

• Breakfast each morning during your stay at both properties
• 2 course Dinner each night during your stay at both properties

 

Additionally a complimentary experience is included on Day 4 at The Woodbridge. The following may be on offer:

• paddle boat
• electric bikes
• tasting and platter at Derwent Estate
• entry and platter at Salmon Ponds
