This is how it is with the Ellis family at Meadowbank. We’ve even shared a quiche in the kitchen of the historic family homestead with them.
We are all part of a community of producers and hospitality providers working together to showcase the spectacular Derwent Valley. The passion is palpable, and in fact we could be accused of being a bit obsessive.
Meet Tasmanian wine producers by helicopter
Meadowbank is one of Tasmania’s premium wine producers.
It is situated on the Derwent River, just a short drive upriver from Truffle Lodge. Therefore, guests can easily helicopter from Truffle Lodge to Meadowbank for a tasting in the old shed among the vineyards.
Guests also have the option to fly to Home Hill winery for lunch at their lovely cellar door restaurant.
