Luxury Tasmanian Lodge Experience – Introducing the epic Derwent Descent Kayak Adventure Package

 

 

In all our years arranging experiences for our guests, our packages have never before created such a buzz. It seems everyone wants to do our Derwent Descent.

 

In case you have missed what all the excitement is about, here it is:

 

The Derwent Descent is a luxury experience near Hobart, Tasmania. A soft-adventure guided kayak trip transfers guests from one luxury hotel to the next.

 

This is a private and exclusive experience, open only to guests at Truffle Lodge and The Woodbridge.

 

This epic adventure has you staying up-river at Truffle Lodge for the first two nights. On Day 3, after breakfast, you will kayak down river to The Woodbridge for the second part of your stay. While you are on the river, you may see platypus and sea eagles, and will cross several low-medium grade rapids. Your guides are highly experienced and all equipment is provided.

 

While you are transiting down river, staff will transfer your luggage to The Woodbridge. We can also arrange your transport back to collect a hirecar. You will arrive at the river pontoon at Woodbridge to refreshments by the river and the option of a hot sauna and jacuzzi before going to your room. (Various drop off points will be planned for those who think they may tire … but it is all down stream with the current.)

 

This package is a minimum 4 night stay, but you can extend the stay at either or both properties for a long as you wish.

 

This package includes:

• Breakfast each morning during your stay at both properties
• 2 course Dinner each night during your stay at both properties
