This experience is exclusive to The Woodbridge and can only be booked directly through our reservations portal.

 

Our guests often want to see Maria Island, but no matter where you start, it is a long way to drive.

And then there is the ferry on top of that, and the return trip, and the lining up and waiting.

 

Time is precious!

 

So we have partnered with Tasmanian helicopter providers to create a package that optimises your time! Not only saving time, but also combining experiences into one truly memorable event.

 

The helicopter will collect you from Truffle Lodge after breakfast and transfer you across iconic Tasmanian landmarks to Maria Island.

En route you will land to collect a tasty hamper and bottle of wine for your island picnic.

 

You will land on Maria Island and be free to wander for approximately 2 hours.

Your helicopter and private pilot will wait for you.

 

You will return to Truffle Lodge by a different flight path. That way you will take in as much as possible of Tassie’s amazing landscape from your vantage point.

 

This experience is approximately 3 hours, for 1 or 2 persons accompanied by a private guide.

The pilots have to submit a flight plan, so they will need your weight.

We will first check that our guides are available, and will then contact you when everything is confirmed.

 

This is a soft adventure nature package, so guests must be prepared for what nature serves up – rain, sun, cold etc.  The pilot will determine if bad weather warrants cancelling a trip or not (Package costs will be refunded if the pilot calls the trip off).

 

The pilot will collect you from Truffle Lodge in the morning and return transfer you after your time at Maria Island.

 

As part of the experience, your pilot will supply a picnic basket.

 

Our experience providers are carefully selected with your safety and satisfaction in mind. The pilots are affable, highly experienced, and have full accreditation and insurance.
